Review

The Landing at Silver Spring has proven to be a wonderful facility for many residents and their families, despite not being their first choice initially. The change in management and the introduction of a new General Manager has brought about positive changes, especially when it comes to communication with the family. From the nursing staff to the clinical staff to the dining staff, all members have been praised for their excellent care and services. Residents are known by name and receive personalized attention. The food is enjoyed by many, and efforts are being made to improve the activities available to residents.

However, there have been some negative experiences expressed by a few individuals as well. One person shared that their father developed a bed sore during his 6-week stay and his dehydration and urinary tract infection were only discovered during a doctor's appointment. The staff also failed to promptly administer prescribed medication. Another reviewer expressed dissatisfaction with The Landing, particularly in regards to the dementia care facility called Opal. They felt that the care provided was inadequate and there was a lack of evaluation for their loved one's needs.

Another individual mentioned feeling uneasy with The Landing after being given a price before an evaluation of their loved one took place. They believed this approach was inappropriate and made them hesitant about choosing this community. On the other hand, someone else praised the friendly staff, respectful environment, and good vibes they experienced during their tour of The Landing at Silver Spring. They appreciated the open communication between staff and themselves whenever questions or concerns arose.

A reviewer mentioned that although their loved one does not participate in activities offered at The Landing, they enjoy the set menu provided for meals. As for another visitor, they were thoroughly impressed with the beauty of the facility during their tour and deemed it worthy of living there themselves if given the opportunity. Lastly, someone expressed gratitude towards The Landing's accommodating nature for loved ones and highlighted its pet-friendly policy.

In conclusion, while The Landing at Silver Spring has received mostly positive feedback in terms of care, staff, and facilities, there have been some negative experiences expressed. It is important for potential residents and their families to thoroughly evaluate their needs and preferences before making a decision.
