Review

Chardonnay Assisted Living is a highly regarded facility that offers top-notch care for its residents. The staff members are compassionate and thorough in their work, going above and beyond to ensure the well-being of the residents. The community consists of two houses, with one of them accommodating around 13 people. Though not fully occupied during my husband's stay, the atmosphere remained warm and welcoming.

The upkeep of the rooms at Chardonnay Assisted Living was exceptional. My husband's room was well-maintained, providing him with a comfortable living space. The dining area featured two tables, each seating 4 or 5 people. While some residents preferred to eat in their rooms, my husband enjoyed his meals at the communal dining table. The food served was average in quality but satisfactory.

In terms of activities, Chardonnay Assisted Living offered various options such as crafts, puzzles, and other engaging pastimes for their residents. Although my husband did not actively participate in these activities, it was evident that there were ample opportunities for socialization and mental stimulation.

While I had positive experiences with Chardonnay Assisted Living overall, there were certain aspects that left room for improvement. Compared to another facility I visited, it wasn't as inviting or cozy. However, our tour guide was informative and friendly, addressing any concerns we had. One particular concern I had was the policy regarding Medicaid recipients; if a resident's financial situation changed and they needed to switch to Medicaid, they would be relocated to a smaller room which could prove disorienting for those requiring memory care.

Despite these minor drawbacks, Chardonnay Assisted Living stands out as a newer facility with friendly and helpful staff members who ensure the comfort of their residents. The food provided is satisfying and the community size is relatively small with less than 30 residents. Each resident has their own private room equipped with necessary amenities; while some rooms only have a mini-kitchen and a bathroom without a shower, it is also possible to opt for larger suites with separate living and sleeping areas, as well as a private shower.

The activities offered at Chardonnay Assisted Living are fairly standard for such facilities, including performances by visiting groups, sing-alongs, bingo, and other group functions. The proximity of the community to a nearby park lends it a pleasant view and gives residents the opportunity to enjoy fresh air on patios or raised decks. However, it's apparent that the facility could benefit from additional staff members to meet the needs of all residents effectively.

This small community comprises two buildings housing around fifteen residents each. The staff members are friendly and attentive to the residents' needs. Special monitoring measures, such as bed and chair alarms, ensure their safety. The cleanliness of both buildings is maintained diligently and the quality of food served remains commendable. In terms of activities, while there may not be an extensive range available, there are still options provided for the enjoyment of residents.

In conclusion, Chardonnay Assisted Living offers a caring environment where residents can feel secure and receive quality care. While improvements can be made in certain areas such as atmosphere and staffing levels, overall it presents itself as an appealing option for those seeking assisted living accommodations.
