The wound care nurse was amazing and interacted well with the patient and family. Raquel, the social worker, was very nice and informative during discharge planning. Sonya, the Director of Admissions, was amazing and very kind. The Ambassador Caity is warm, friendly, and very helpful with paperwork and tech support, always positive and encouraging. Caitlyn Luis, the ambassador, consistently gives 110% and is helpful and kind. The nursing, housekeeping, laundry, activities, kitchen and therapy staff were pleasant, helpful, and made them feel welcome. The facility is clean with an excellent rehab team and engaging resident activities.
They called Orchard View Hell and the worst place ever. The facility is extremely run down and dirty, with a strong odor. The nurses are rude and unable to properly care for people with dementia. It is understaffed, leading to insufficient supervision and safety concerns. There was no hot water for almost two weeks and residents had no water to drink. Medications were not administered on time and some pills were given to the wrong resident. There were unexplained bruising on a resident and staff did not adequately address it. Dementia patients on the unit were treated like animals with no activities to stimulate their minds. Bed bugs were brought home by a resident.
