The rooms at Westchester Manor at Providence Place were large and nice. The facility was clean and residents felt safe. The staff at Westchester Manor is wonderful and provides excellent care. The physical therapy and occupational therapy at Westchester Manor are excellent. Some of the nurses at Westchester Manor are great and build good relationships with families. The rooms at Westchester Manor Nursing Center are really nice, and the staff is professional and nice. Overall, there are no complaints about the services provided at Westchester Manor Nursing Center.
The atmosphere was a little depressing. They didn't offer a lot of stimulation or activities in the skilled nursing memory care unit. Some of the nurses clearly don't care and are just putting in the time. The facility-oriented place didn't have staff that represented it well. Every meal is served cold and the food smells bad. If you can't go to the restroom on your own, you are left there for hours before something is done. There are male orderlies undressing women to get ready for bed, which should never happen.
