Review

Moving to Vineyard Commons senior community has been a great decision for us. It offers everything we need and is the ideal place for our needs. The community provides various amenities like a restaurant, swimming pool, and exercise room, which cater to our requirements perfectly. While there are a few areas that could be improved, overall, we are quite pleased with our choice.

Fortunately, we hardly need to contact the staff unless there is something that needs fixing in our apartment. Currently, we need to replace a bulb in the bathroom, but it seems to be taking longer than expected. We have been waiting for a couple of days now before someone comes and lets us know what type of bulb should be used. Despite this minor inconvenience, the staff is generally responsive when assistance is required.

One aspect worth mentioning is that Vineyard Commons does not provide meals as it focuses on independent living. However, they do have a restaurant where residents can order food and pay accordingly. Personally, we rarely opt for this option as we prefer cooking at home and have the added benefit of a full-time aide present 12 hours a day, seven days a week. Though we have tried the food from the restaurant on a few occasions and found it satisfactory.

In terms of accommodation, our apartment here is the largest within the complex - spanning an impressive 1,700 square feet. It suits our needs perfectly and we have no complaints about its size or layout. It provides us with ample space to live comfortably.

Vineyard Commons offers an abundance of activities for its residents to enjoy. From games and movies to social gatherings, there is always something happening within the community. Recently, we attended their Cinco de Mayo social event held at the restaurant. We paid a fee to participate and had a wonderful time mingling with fellow residents while enjoying delicious food.

However, one notable concern revolves around the value for money aspect of living here. The rent keeps increasing, and they only offer 13-month leases. This raises doubts about whether the rising costs are justified, prompting us to consider exploring other facilities and comparing their offerings. With the rent steadily climbing, it is becoming increasingly expensive to reside at Vineyard Commons.

In conclusion, our experience at Vineyard Commons has been mostly positive. The community offers a range of amenities that cater to our needs, although there are areas that could be improved. While the staff is generally responsive, we have experienced occasional delays in addressing maintenance issues. The absence of provided meals is not a major drawback for us as we prefer cooking at home with the assistance of our full-time aide. The size and layout of our apartment are perfect for us, allowing us to live comfortably within its spacious confines. We appreciate the wide array of activities available for residents to partake in, fostering a sense of community and social interaction. However, the rising rent and limited lease options raise concerns about the long-term affordability of living here. Ultimately, we remain pleased with our decision to move to Vineyard Commons but will continue evaluating our options moving forward.
