Review

In a senior housing community that was supposed to be for individuals aged 55 and above, residents are witnessing a decline in the quality of life. The peaceful atmosphere they once enjoyed has been disrupted by rowdy parties taking place in the parking lot. The presence of young people drinking alcohol and engaging in fights has left many feeling disgusted. Furthermore, the building itself emits an unpleasant smell, reminiscent of trash and marijuana.

The disappointment with the management is palpable among the residents. One resident recounts how the property manager treats everyone as if they were children, constantly reminding them of her position. There is a lack of interest from both the property manager and her boss in addressing concerns or listening to feedback from residents. This neglectful attitude towards the community is causing many to consider moving out, leaving behind only those who are unable to care for themselves.

Amongst these frustrations, there are also complaints about pet policies. While dogs are allowed in the community, some residents express their dislike for larger breeds like Labs. It seems that rules are being disregarded altogether, with scheduled trips being canceled due to lack of interest from residents.

The decline in this once great community can be traced back to its acquisition by a large management company. Immediately following the takeover, rent prices were raised substantially with promises of increased activities and significant improvements to the building. However, instead of fulfilling these promises, activities have been reduced and only cosmetic changes have been made to draw new tenants in.

Several current residents express their dissatisfaction with these changes, highlighting the need for updates and repairs throughout the building. Seating has even been removed under the assumption that older people should not gather like at a nursing home – an insensitive remark that goes against understanding seniors' needs for social interaction.

Despite these negative experiences, there are still some positive reviews regarding different aspects of this senior housing community. Some praise the cleanliness and overall satisfaction they feel when visiting or living there. Others appreciate helpful staff members and the warm, bright environment. However, these positive reviews seem to be overshadowed by the growing discontent among residents.

It is clear that the decline in this senior housing community has led to a loss of trust and satisfaction among its residents. The once great place has been tarnished by mismanagement, neglectful attitudes, and broken promises. As more residents plan to leave at the end of their leases, it is evident that this community is no longer living up to its potential. Prospective tenants would do well to consider these testimonials before making a decision about moving here and potentially being disappointed.
