Families are glad their loved ones are in a safe place with help and engaging activities. The service has been good so far. Staff are amazing, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The staff and food are well-liked; everyone is nice; caregivers are great. The atmosphere is nice and the building is beautiful; staff are helpful and friendly. Visitors are impressed with staff and facilities, with good activity areas and spacious rooms. Service has been superb and staff go above and beyond. The facility is amazing with a friendly atmosphere and delightful residents; the showroom is beautiful. The Waterford at Colby is a great assisted living environment with caring, educated staff. The place is beautiful with sunrooms and an outdoor walking path; staff are caring and prompt.
It started well for the grandfather, but it went downhill; the staff were not very helpful and took about 15 minutes to respond to a help button. They moved out of the facility in October and are still waiting for a refund. It was a short experience but a lot of things went wrong and they were very unhappy; they would not recommend The Waterford at Colby. The staff were heartless toward residents at end of life; they were rude and disrespectful to new staff and would push new staff out the door. There had been some minor difficulty getting across to the staff what their sister wanted or needed. They were told management would meet the special needs, but the staff were unable to do so. They never received any sympathy from the staff after their grandfather passed.
