Missy is absolutely phenomenal, with warmth and genuine care that immediately puts visitors at ease. Cheryl is a joy to work with, and Kim leads her team with compassion and dedication. Nurse Cathy's communication is top-notch, keeping families informed and reassured every step of the way. Families feel completely at ease knowing their loved ones are being cared for properly at The Cottages. The private rooms with in-room bathrooms are lovely. The Cottages offer many opportunities for residents to interact and enjoy hobbies and outings. Missy helps families feel confident in choosing The Cottages. The staff love residents with their whole hearts at all times. The food is delicious and residents receive the care and attention they need. Cathy, the DON, is a caring and helpful leader. The Aides are wonderful.
This place is a danger to our most vulnerable loved ones. This facility is poorly managed. The predator forced my relative to sign a Power of attorney document, though despite having clear dementia and on his deathbed, Charter Home senior living and the inept executive director of the facility ACCEPTED the document. Covid protocols are made up as they go along. An employee tested positive for Covid-19 recently, and management is trying to keep it a secret. Two staff for 16 people is not adequate if they have to do everything from showers to cleaning to cooking to dressing making the beds and responding to emergencies without adequate training. The bedding I removed a week earlier was still in the hamper soiled, the room smelled of urine, there was a ring around her toilet and the floors were sticky.
