Review

Finding a facility that accepts Medicaid can be challenging, but we were fortunate to discover Silver Birch of Kokomo. Among the limited options available, this place stood out not only for its acceptance of Medicaid but also for its availability of apartments. When we visited with our mom, we were pleased to find that she liked it as well. The staff members we encountered during our visit were exceptional and displayed both professionalism and hospitality.

One aspect that impressed us about Silver Birch of Kokomo was the range of activities offered to residents. From bingo to Bible study and church services, there seemed to be something for everyone. Additionally, twice a week, residents have the opportunity to go on planned outings using the facility's bus for shopping trips. The amenities within the community are also noteworthy, including a theater, beauty shop, craft room, game room, and a small store.

Cleanliness is important in any facility, and Silver Birch of Kokomo did not disappoint in this regard. We found the place to be well-maintained and inviting. The availability of a laundry room or assistance with laundry made daily life more convenient for both residents and their families. Furthermore, three meals a day are provided alongside a general store where additional necessities can be purchased.

Independence is valued at Silver Birch of Kokomo while ensuring residents receive necessary assistance with medications and other aspects of daily living. This combination struck us as ideal for our loved one's needs. The staff members we encountered demonstrated excellence in their roles, displaying kindness and expertise. Various activities such as bingo and cards provide opportunities for social engagement within designated areas like the dining services facility.

Our positive experience led us to choose Silver Birch of Kokomo once again when it became time for our father to move into assisted living care. Their Medicaid coverage aligned perfectly with his needs, along with their outstanding reputation within the local community and among healthcare professionals. Impressively organized and clean, the facility offers aesthetically pleasing accommodations with spacious rooms. The staff's assistance throughout the process of transitioning our father into the facility has exceeded our expectations.

Silver Birch of Kokomo not only focuses on social activities and comfortable living spaces but also places importance on resident healthcare. They have a network of medical professionals to whom residents can be referred for specialized care. The facility's layout, with its beautiful entryway and large windows, creates an inviting and park-like atmosphere that adds to the overall appeal of the community. We are hopeful that, with the anticipated resumption of activities, our father will have ample opportunities to engage in a fulfilling lifestyle at Silver Birch of Kokomo.
