The Care Director, Nancy Ruminaki, is amazing, knowledgeable, perceptive, and caring, and she hires good caregivers. Nancy takes time and attention to understand residents and arrange for what they need. Each house has a home-like environment where residents share meals and socialize. The caregiver who stays in the houses gets to know the residents in a way that isn't possible at larger places. Crestview is a good place for a loved one needing assisted living. The community feels small, homey, and clean, and the care workers are very sweet. The staff are working hard to adjust and are worth their weight in gold. The reviewer has been very happy with Crestview and notes that they have taken very good care of their loved one.
The owner, Rick, orders groceries for his tenants and is notorious among delivery drivers for never tipping, even on large deliveries, and complaining about incomplete orders. There's a reason he's having more and more difficulty getting his deliveries fulfilled. No tip, no trip, Rick. Crestview is not the place for anyone with real medical needs. Crestview is lacking in activities to keep residents mentally stimulated. One of Crestview's two nearby communities wouldn't accept wheelchairs. The other community was unable to do a two-person assist. What Crestview told the family they would do and what they actually did were very different.
