    Review

All Comforts of Home (ACOH) has been a wonderful surprise for our family, a place that reshaped our expectations about senior care. When it became clear that my 86-year-old mother-in-law would need to move into an assisted living setting, we carried a mix of concern and hope. After a year under their care, however, we've seen her happier and healthier than we had in quite some time. That transformation has been a source of genuine relief for our whole family, and it's hard to overstate how meaningful that has been.

ACOH is an Arizona Long Term Care Services (ALTECS) certified facility with a small, intimate atmosphere - about 10 residents. They accommodate memory-challenged individuals, which has been crucial for my mother-in-law. The environment feels deeply family-oriented, with staff who are friendly, responsive, and attentive to each resident's needs. The facility is clean and well kept, and the residents receive lots of personal attention. The combination of a warm, home-like setting and attentive care has made us incredibly pleased with this choice for her ongoing care.

A central point of our experience has been stability and attention to the people who live there. The updates we've received and observed over time consistently describe a place where residents' comfort and well-being come first. The staff's approach feels personal and compassionate, and there is a sense that the family who runs the home genuinely cares about the people who live there. For families seeking a smaller community with a strong sense of belonging, ACOH seems to offer exactly that kind of environment.

However, there is a significant development to be aware of that has affected families and residents connected to ACOH. In March 2025, ACOH canceled their state ALTECS contract and began accepting only private-pay clients. The change was presented as sudden and left ALTECS residents with about 60 days to find a new facility. The stated rationale was that the shift would allow the facility to charge higher fees - specifically, to move to a rate that is double what ALTECS paid for those residents. This policy shift has understandably created uncertainty for families previously relying on ALTECS support and has placed a new urgency on arranging alternate arrangements for some residents.

Despite this policy change, the praise for the care and environment remains strong in many personal experiences. One reviewer simply called it "Awesome place! Great care and people are wonderful!" This sentiment aligns with what many families have observed: a place where caregivers treat residents with kindness and dedication, and where the overall atmosphere feels welcoming and supportive.

Another testimonial reinforces the sense that ACOH is a place to be trusted with a loved one. The reviewer described the facility as a "Very nice place to take your love ones," noting that the staff are "kind, patient and respectful with the residents." The emphasis here is on respect, gentleness, and a demeanor toward residents that aligns with the reassuring image of a small, family-run home.

Further affirmations describe the setting as "Very nice and beautiful," with workers who are "lovely and care for the residents." These lines echo the feel of a well-maintained, aesthetically pleasing environment where caregivers invest time and attention into residents' daily lives, not just their basic needs.

Several voices speak to the quality and consistency of care over time. One reviewer states, "Found the best care for my mom," capturing a sentiment that others have echoed: that the care at ACOH has not only met but surpassed expectations in many respects. Another strong testimonial notes that "All Comforts of Care took wonderful care of my mother for the last two years of her life," praising the Diaz family and their staff for treating residents "as if they are family" and offering an emphatic recommendation of "All Comforts of Home 100%!!!"

The final note among these reviews underscores the value of the facility as a family-owned operation run by genuinely caring people. Those words - "Family owned by genuinely caring people" - summarize a core impression: a small, family-led home that prioritizes personal connection, compassionate care, and a sense of community that residents and their families can trust.

In sum, All Comforts of Home has earned high marks from families who have entrusted their loved ones to its care. The positive experiences - ranging from daily attentiveness and a welcoming atmosphere to clean surroundings and a home-like feel - contrast with the recent policy shift that moved the facility away from ALTECS coverage. For many, the current reality remains one of genuine gratitude for the care and environment that helped their loved ones thrive, even as families navigate the implications of the private-pay transition.
