Leah runs an amazing assisted living home where the staff genuinely cares, stays organized, and keeps the environment clean. The facility is wonderful, with caring staff who go above and beyond to serve residents. Families highly recommend Silver Star Assisted Living to friends and family. The home is immaculate and well kept, with residents receiving excellent care. Leah, the owner, is firm but gentle, and the staff remain patient and understanding. The team is professional, compassionate, and consistently thorough in caregiving. The staff communicate well with families and coordinate with doctors and hospice. The owner is hands-on and actively involved in residents' care and daily needs. Residents feel safe, comfortable, and able to live their best lives in a supportive environment. Reviewers describe life-changing care and peace of mind provided by Silver Star.
Unfortunately Mom passed away earlier this week (after falling and breaking her hip at Silver Star). While the house appears to be clean the residents are another story. They are propped up in chairs and stare at the TV all day (usually in the same clothes for days). There were times when we visited that she had no bra, no teeth and smelled so bad you could hardly breath near her and the others. There seemed to be little or no stimulation for them which is probably why she ended up with blood clots at the end. Her main concern was when would she be getting the full $4000 payment for that month?? Her statement was that the contract says all money paid in nonrefundable.
