The staff are an awesome team taking great care of loved ones. The new building updates look great. The staff are very professional. The facility is nice and clean. Nurse Sarah McCurdy was professional, courteous, and genuinely caring about patients' well-being. The staff are amazing, friendly, and caring. Richard in Physical Therapy was awesome. Stephanie, a nurse, was excellent and truly cared.
The care was described as the absolute worst, with no aide or nurse responding at 3:30 a.m. when help was needed. The director of nursing refused to discuss staffing concerns with the family. About 90% of the staff were agency aides and nurses, leading to consistently poor care. The grandmother was frequently wet, with urine on sheets and pillows, and staff used Febreze to mask the odor. The facility stopped taking calls from the family during the transfer process, forcing the POA to intervene for paperwork. Upper management was described as a nightmare; staff felt undervalued and the workload was extreme due to short staffing. Call lights were left unanswered for 30 to 60 minutes, and doors were often not locked. A patient was left in a BM brief with no bed bath or shower, feces on the bed, dirty laundry on the floor, and a verbally abusive staff member, with no consequences for complaints. A paycheck was canceled for an STNA after giving two weeks' notice, described as a shady business practice.
