Very kind and professional staff. The Sands' entire staff is warm, welcoming, friendly, and always smiling. The receptionist was awesome. The staff is really nice, especially at the front desk. The staff is absolutely welcoming and cooperative. The food is fresh, hot and delicious. The facility is clean. The nurses are very attentive.
The way they treat elders here is heartbreaking; the staff is unresponsive and clearly indifferent. This place looks like a prison. Do not send your loved ones here; this place is absolutely horrendous and should be investigated. The smell of urine hits you like a wall the second you walk in; it's nauseating and inexcusable. One night, a patient was left in a soiled diaper for hours after the nurse on duty refused to help, an act described as neglect and cruelty. The facility needs everything upgraded; more staff with better attitude and attention; the staff doesn't do absolutely anything unless someone commands them to. Sands on the Beach is a disgrace.
