The facility and staff were great. My loved one enjoyed working with the nurses. The communication was great between the staff and I. As an employee, I have seen first hand amazing care for the residents and the staff by management. Visited a dear friend last week and was so pleased that she was happy and well cared for. This community is charming and has lots of friendly people. The staff members are all very competent, nice, and caring. The community is very pleasant and well-maintained. The meals are healthy and very good. This is a nice community with outstanding staff who are very caring to their residents' needs.
The population seemed generally older and in need of more day to day assistance. The staff are under amazing pressure and it has affected the care. The prices went up and quality went down. The facility steadily went downhill under the current management. All they care about is filling rooms/money. The caregiving we experienced was horrible in the last few months we were at Markham.
