In general, the caregivers at AccentCare of San Diego were experienced and caring when it came to taking care of my mother. However, there were some inconsistencies in their scheduling, which could be attributed to the current state of the world. This is understandable as everyone is facing challenges amidst these uncertain times.
Unfortunately, my experience with the accounting department at AccentCare was far from satisfactory. The invoices I received never showed my payments made; they only listed the charges. Moreover, they did not accept online payments, making it a tedious process for me to settle my bills. Adding to this frustration was the fact that the invoices were always at least two weeks old. This lack of efficiency in their accounting procedures left much to be desired.
The most disheartening incident occurred when my mother passed away and I had an outstanding credit with AccentCare. It has been over six weeks since her passing, and I am still waiting for a refund. Despite numerous phone calls and attempts to resolve the matter, it seems like progress has been painfully slow. To make matters worse, dealing with their bookkeepers turned out to be an unpleasant experience as they displayed a snotty attitude.
One major concern I had with AccentCare of San Diego was the inconsistency in assigning caregivers. It would have been ideal to have one caregiver consistently attending to my mother's needs each time. Unfortunately, this was not always the case. The lack of continuity created additional stress for both my mother and myself during an already challenging period.
Considering all the aspects mentioned above, recommending AccentCare of San Diego does not come easy for me. While their caregivers exhibited experience and compassion towards my mother's care, other areas such as accounting and consistency proved to be major drawbacks in their service provision.
It is important for any caregiver agency to take into account these reviews and work towards improving their services for future clients. Acknowledging concerns raised by families who have experienced these issues firsthand can help them enhance their overall caregiving experience. By addressing issues related to accounting, consistency in caregiver assignments, and efficient communication, AccentCare of San Diego can significantly improve the satisfaction of their clients and their families.
