The staff were top notch. They ensured he was well taken care of and his needs were met promptly. The staff and administration were helpful and quick to address questions and problems. Insurance issues were handled without distress to the family. The staff were compassionate and respectful. Michelle Hoskins, DON, is outstanding. He was treated with care, compassion and respect. They were polite and respectful to the family. The food was good and the activities were fun. Within one week they had the patient off oxygen and the trach removed.
The food is terrible and would not be good enough for animal slop. Most of the facility has a severe moisture problem. The people who own and run this company don't seem to care about quality. Bottom line, avoid staying here. The grandfather was there for rehab for less than a week, fell from his wheelchair, busted his head open, and staff put a bandaid on him and didn't clean the blood from his face or the floor; he later died on life support. They were unhappy with the Administrator and DON and Adon and were lied to many times. Signature was the worst home I have ever experienced. They were understaffed and would leave residents on the toilet for an hour. The food was horrible. Meds are never on time. They were told a resident was on antibiotics for a UTI but never received any antibiotics. The DON promised to review all meds but never did. They did not chart blood sugar for a shift. On the first weekend they were short staffed. The third shift nurse is awful.
