They are lovely people who actually care about residents' well-being and wellness. The CNAs are very well trained, the nurses are great, and the administration checks on everyone to ensure needs are met. The cleanliness is outstanding, with rooms cleaned daily and hallways polished. The Physical Therapy room is beautiful, and the staff guides each patient appropriately with clean, up-to-date equipment. The staff are friendly and caring. The speech therapist Wendy and the physical therapist Steve were very nice and seemed to care about the patients and their families. They are highly recommended for rehab in the Florence/Lake City area.
The facility is very dirty. The staff are disrespectful. There is a very bad odor when entering through the second doors. No one would recommend placing a family member there. The facility smells like urine. A resident remained in a soiled bed for over an hour. Staff walked by and did not check on the patient. It took almost two hours to change a bedridden resident after a bowel movement. The staff left the patient unfed for hours. The staff refused to give him his medicine. The aunt was severely neglected, with poor hygiene and reduced meals. The aunt developed bedsores that worsened to a serious stage, with bandages not changed for days, and a foul odor.
