On one occasion, three staff members attempted to force my father to take a shower against his will. This approach not only disregarded his dignity but also failed to recognize the behavioral complexities often associated with dementia. As a result, he became aggressive—an understandable reaction given their approach.

What compounded these issues was the realization that many of the employees were not licensed nurses but rather basic staff members without specialized training in handling patients with cognitive impairments.
