    Review

Being so far away from Ruston makes the situation that much harder, especially when it concerns how my mother is being cared for. I'm eight hundred miles from home, and that distance only amplifies every little concern that might come up. The worry has been about how she's being looked after at Alpine Rehabilitation, but that worry began to ease only after I heard my mother's own words. When she told me that she is happy and doing well, a weight seemed to lift. The relief was immediate, and it came with a renewed sense of trust that she is in capable, caring hands.

I had the chance to visit Alpine last week, and I went with a single request in mind: please treat my mother as you would your own. It wasn't a special demand so much as a simple standard of care and kindness - to show the same level of consideration and respect that anyone would want for their own family member. From what I witnessed and heard, that is exactly what they did. The staff, particularly the Physical Therapy Team, showed a level of attentiveness and dedication that stood out. Barbara Young, in particular, went above and beyond, offering extra care that I deeply appreciated for someone I love so much. It felt as though my mother was not just another patient, but someone who mattered to them as deeply as she does to me.

I'm profoundly grateful for the help and guidance I received from Donna Frasier during this difficult time. Her presence was a steadying force, providing direction and support when I needed it most. The kind of reassurance she offered helped me navigate concerns and made a positive difference in how I felt about the care my mother was receiving. A heartfelt "Huge Hug to You All!" seems almost too small to express the gratitude I felt in that moment, but it still captures the sentiment and warmth I wanted to convey.

As I have learned more about Alpine Guest Care, I find myself drawn to the possibility of living there one day. At the moment, I'm in another nursing home where there are restrictions that make it hard to feel like I'm at home. Hanging pictures and personal touches are not something I can do, which makes the space feel less like my own. I do own a musical keyboard and a guitar, items that bring me comfort and a sense of identity, but I have to store them in a closet because there isn't enough room. Sharing a room with someone else compounds these frustrations, and it's difficult to make the space feel like a true home. The prospect of experiencing the atmosphere at Alpine, getting to know the staff, and feeling that welcoming, home-like environment is something I'm longing for.

What I hope for is a chance to transfer as soon as a bed becomes available, because I believe that life could be much happier there. The idea of being able to settle into a place where the culture values warmth, connection, and genuine care resonates deeply with me. I want to be part of a community where the staff's attention to the needs of residents and their families is clear, where personal belongings aren't put aside or restricted, and where I can begin to put down roots again. The thought of living in Alpine feels like the next right step toward restoring happiness and peace in my life.

In summary, the journey has been a blend of relief, gratitude, and hopeful anticipation. The distance between Ruston and my mother's care was daunting, but the hands-on care and thoughtful effort shown at Alpine have made a meaningful difference. The praise for the Physical Therapy Team, Barbara Young, and Donna Frasier reflects the impact that compassionate, attentive care can have on a family member's well-being. At the same time, the personal challenges I face in my current living situation - restricted space, lack of personal touches, and the longing for a more home-like environment - underscore why Alpine Guest Care represents a bright possibility for my future. I remain hopeful that a bed will open soon and that I'll have the opportunity to experience Alpine in a way that feels both welcoming and hopeful.
