Review

In our quest to find the perfect senior living community for our loved one, we recently toured Overlake View. Sadly, we discovered that it did not meet our expectations and was not a suitable fit for our dear family member. Upon entering the facility, we could immediately sense that the residents required a level of care beyond what our loved one needed. This realization left us concerned about whether they would receive the individualized attention and support necessary for their well-being.

One aspect that noticeably contributed to our decision was the overall atmosphere at Overlake View. A pervasive gloominess hung in the air, with an underlying sense of melancholy that made us question whether it would be a comfortable environment for our loved one to thrive in. Despite this somber ambiance, we must emphasize how truly remarkable and pleasant the owner of Overlake View was during our visit. Their kindness and warmth were evident as they guided us through the facility, but unfortunately, even this wonderful person couldn't outweigh the negative aspects that we noticed.

Understanding that every senior has unique needs, it became increasingly apparent that Overlake View wouldn't adequately cater to those of our loved one. The level of care required by most residents seemed more advanced than what our family member necessitated at this stage in their life. It became clear that a different community would be better suited to address their specific requirements and provide an environment where they could feel comfortable, safe, and supported.

We ultimately decided against choosing Overlake View as the new home for our beloved elder because it simply did not align with their needs and preferences. While we appreciated the kindness exhibited by the owner throughout our tour, this positive interaction alone could not overshadow our concerns about the facility's ability to meet our loved one's requirements. Instead, we opted for another community which demonstrated a better understanding of their needs and offered an environment more conducive to their overall well-being.

When embarking on such an important decision as selecting a senior living community, it is crucial to consider all aspects that may impact the happiness and comfort of our loved ones. These considerations should include the level of care required, the overall atmosphere, and how well the community aligns with their individual needs. While Overlake View had its positive aspects, unfortunately, it fell short in meeting our criteria. As a responsible family, we made the decision to seek out a community that could provide our loved one with the specialized care and uplifting environment they deserve.
