The staff at Independent Village TC is second to none. The facility is very clean. The residents all seem to be very happy. StoryPoint and Independence Village are cutting edge and above and beyond in addressing the needs of aging adults so they can age in place. The community is beautiful, with loving and caring staff, hot and delicious food, and a full activity calendar. Independence Village is a very nice place with courteous staff and well-equipped rooms. All residents are fun to be around.
Housekeeping is really bad. The General Manager talks behind the staff and residents' backs. When someone tries to talk to him about an issue, he says he doesn't have time. He's very two-faced. They don't trust him, and neither do the female staff. They delayed for weeks, and then paid only 5/8 of the amount agreed on, despite about 20 reminders, defaulting on the rest. This is the most disorganized facility I've ever lived in, with a huge lack of communication. The food was horrible and was served in the residents' rooms due to the pandemic.
