Review

I've lived there for seven years, and during that time I've dealt with a mix of challenges and moments that kept me coming back. The apartment has had its share of unwelcome guests, including cockroaches and bed bugs, which have colored many days and not made life easier. On top of that, the security presence in the building feels very intrusive, which can add a constant sense of being watched or monitored to the daily routine.

Despite the bugs and the feeling of overzealous security, the place has felt like a long-term home in many other ways. Over the years I've had many family members live here with me, creating a sense of continuity and shared memories that stretch across generations. The building and the community around it have carried a steady, lived-in warmth, with relatives returning again and again and forming a kind of extended household within these walls.

I don't have complaints about the place as a whole. It's been a stable home in many respects, and my son just moved here. So far, my son has been treated very well, which matters a lot to me as a parent. It's comforting to see him welcomed and supported in this environment, and the positive interactions have been a bright spot amid other concerns. The warmth in handling his arrival stands out, and I'm glad he's been received well.

There's a practical flaw that can't be ignored, though. The kitchen only has a single sink, which makes daily chores feel tight and inefficient, especially when more than one person is trying to use the kitchen at the same time. Even more frustrating is that there's no way to turn on heat in the apartment because there's no thermostat or any personal control over heating. When winter comes and the chill sets in, we simply don't have a way to adjust the temperature to our liking, which can make the living space feel less comfortable than it should.

And yet, despite these constraints, I still feel a strong sense of place. I live here, and it's a beautiful place to live; I really do love it here. The beauty of the surroundings and the overall ambiance contribute to a sense of pride in calling it home. The positives - like the aesthetic appeal and the established, familiar environment - often balance the more frustrating realities of pests, security, and the heat-control limitations.

In the end, the experience is a layered one. Seven years in, the building has offered stability, family bonds, and a sense of belonging that many places can't match. At the same time, persistent pests and the intrusive security, plus the practical drawbacks of a single kitchen sink and no heating control, remind me that no place is perfect. It's possible to love a home deeply while still wishing for better pest management, more respectful security practices, and a few practical upgrades that would make life easier for everyone who calls it home.
