Review
AvilaCare provides a graduated level of care, offering different levels based on individual needs. They have two buildings dedicated to assisted living and memory care/skilled nursing. Many families appreciate this aspect of the facility, as it allows for personalized care. The staff at AvilaCare is highly praised for their kindness and compassion, impressing family members who were personally involved in their loved one's care. The nursing supervisor stands out for her exceptional help and guidance.
The community itself is described as nice and clean, with friendly people. However, some reviewers mention that the food could be improved upon, stating that it doesn't taste very good and leaves something to be desired. Additionally, there seems to be a lack of group activities and an activity director. While there are puzzles available and a pleasant outdoor area, residents mostly occupy themselves. The CNAs express a desire to engage in more activities with the residents but lack a program in place currently.
Despite these shortcomings, AvilaCare is commended for its cleanliness and attentive staff who go above and beyond to meet individual needs. They are willing to work with families to resolve issues and provide extra services such as physical therapy or doctor visits. Some reviewers note that the community is still evolving due to its new establishment status.
Goodlife Senior Living is another facility mentioned in the reviews. Families appreciate the smaller community setup, allowing for a more personal approach to care. The manager and nurse are highly regarded by one reviewer who believes they make the whole place standout.
Another reviewer shares their experience of transitioning their mother from an assisted living facility to Goodlife due to Alzheimer's progression. They are extremely pleased with the commitment and excellent job done by caregivers and managers. There seems to have been some management changes at Goodlife based on previous reviews but the current staff receives high praise.
The care provided at Goodlife is highly regarded by multiple reviewers who believe their loved ones received exceptional treatment from both staff and administrators. The staff is often described as treating residents like family, going above and beyond to provide compassionate care.
In conclusion, both AvilaCare and Goodlife Senior Living receive positive reviews for their personalized care approaches and attentive staff. While there may be some areas for improvement such as food quality and activity programs, the focus on individual needs and dedicated caregivers shine through. Families express gratitude for the care provided to their loved ones in these communities.
