The food has deteriorated to very poor most of the time, heavy on carbs. We were locked up during covid with a sign slapped on our front door if we left campus. They hide in their offices and issue long letters stuffed in cubbies. The staff is rude and uncaring. They failed to send my dear loved one to the hospital for 9 hours after a fall. The food has tracked down to fair and sometimes poor due to budget issues. Maintenance is slow and budget constrained. Their contract allows them to disavow any verbal commitments and change or make new rules at any time in the future. Plantation Estates has failed to add any rooms for assisted living, resulting in a waiting list. It was just too expensive for me.Plantation Estates and Matthews Glen are two retirement communities that have received mixed reviews from residents and visitors.
