Dawn's care for my mother has been consistently generous and dependable, and my mom clearly enjoys her company. With Comfort Keepers, the peace of mind that comes from knowing someone trusted is at home with her when we need to go out cannot be overstated. She looks forward to visits, especially with Dawn and Jean, and it's wonderful for mom to have another friendly face to talk to since she doesn't get out often. The daily presence of a caregiver provides not just practical help but real companionship, which makes a big difference in her mood and sense of connection.
Comfort Keepers has been a godsend to us since my mom broke her hip and could no longer be left alone. The team's ability to be there when we need them has been invaluable, and the companionship helps keep mom engaged in life. The caregivers bring a sense of normalcy to her days and enable us to run essential errands or attend to other family matters with much less worry. The ability to go out and know she's not alone is an extraordinary relief for the whole family.
This journey began when Abundant Blessings was in business and provided excellent care. When Comfort Keepers bought Abundant Blessings, many of the caregivers remained and continued to be fantastic. However, there were real concerns about how scheduling was handled after the transition. There was an inconsistency in who showed up at the house, with regular caregivers sometimes pulled away for other clients and unfamiliar caregivers arriving without any orientation or knowledge of our family member. The assumption seemed to be that since our loved one has memory issues, she wouldn't know the difference, which was not acceptable for us. Communication from leadership on these scheduling issues felt unresponsive, and after a month we began looking for alternatives that better fit our needs. The automatic feedback emails we kept receiving only underscored the sense that our concerns weren't being heard.
A year later, the picture has changed for the better in many ways. Our experience with Comfort Keepers has become great again, and we now have a caregiver visiting every afternoon that has enriched my dad's life beyond measure. A stable daily routine has become incredibly important for him, and he looks forward to the visits. The care he receives helps him stay independent and gives me peace of mind as a family member. The office staff has proven to be wonderful, consistently handling schedule requests and updates with a can?do attitude that makes adjustments much smoother. They manage the logistics so our daily life can proceed with fewer interruptions, which is exactly what we needed.
Our dad loves taking rides and exploring the North Country, looking for wildlife, enjoying the views, and watching gliders in Franconia Notch. Our caregivers are accommodating and provide excellent company during these explorations. The team's flexibility and willingness to participate in his interests - like daily rides and outings - adds a level of personalization that truly stands out. Thanks to Comfort Keepers and their companions for the "Smiles & Miles" they share on these adventures. We feel incredibly lucky to have their support and care throughout this journey.
The feedback from our family has ranged from heartfelt gratitude to admiration for the staff's dedication. The original sentiment that drew us in - great care, a sense of family, and a focus on keeping mom safe and at home - remains evident. The caregivers have become a trusted presence in our lives, with stories of compassion that reach beyond basic tasks. From helping with personal care and meals to light housekeeping, transportation to appointments, and even facilitating social outings, their above-and-beyond approach makes life easier and more joyful for mom and for us. Many reviews highlight how Comfort Keepers' team brings sunlight into difficult days and helps families feel seen and supported, which aligns with what we have experienced.
The overall experience reflects a strong commitment to compassionate, professional care. Families repeatedly note that the staff - from caregivers who show up with warmth and patience to the office team who coordinate schedules and accommodate changes - treat their loved ones with dignity and respect. The shared goal appears clear: help the client stay safe, independent, and at home for as long as possible, with caregivers who assist with ADLs, meals, housekeeping, appointments, shopping, and sometimes a simple change of scenery or a joyful ride. Those elements combine to create a service that many families come to rely on and value deeply.
Of course, not every experience has been flawless. One review points to ongoing frustrations with late caregivers and with billing that felt erratic or inaccurate at times. Another states a frustration with leadership alignment after the Abundant Blessings transition and the sense that concerns were not fully heard. There's also mention of pursuit of feedback via automated emails that felt impersonal and unwanted. These parts of the story remind us that, as with any long-term service, consistency and clear, responsive communication are essential to maintaining trust. Acknowledging and addressing scheduling reliability, orientation for new caregivers, and billing accuracy would help ensure that families feel heard and that service quality remains consistently high.
Taken together, the experiences depict a service that many families find deeply valuable. The positive moments - companionship that feels like family, the ability to stay in one's home with dignity and independence, flexible scheduling, and a staff that genuinely cares - create a compelling portrait of Comfort Keepers. For those who have navigated the bumps along the way and stayed the course, the long-term payoff is meaningful: everyday moments become more manageable, routines become stabilizing forces, and the people who visit become trusted allies in a difficult journey. The overall message is one of gratitude for care that goes beyond the basics, with real compassion, reliable support, and a commitment to helping families and their loved ones live as fully as possible at home.
