Review

Ingleside ALF Home, where my friend was temporarily placed, left a lasting impression on me. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that the staff went above and beyond to meet my friend's needs. However, it wasn't an easy task as she proved to be demanding and high maintenance in nature. No matter what the director or other workers did for her, it simply wasn't enough. In fact, things took a turn for the worse when she assaulted the manager and another employee by squirting them with hand sanitizers. It was definitely a less than ideal situation.

It is important to note that this negative experience cannot reflect poorly on the facility itself. The management had their hands full dealing with my friend's unpredictable behavior. While she could be sweet and loving one moment, she would easily switch to her stubborn and unyielding side if something didn't go her way. Trying to reason with her when she disliked something became an impossible task. Consequently, I felt relieved when Ingleside decided to remove her from their care as it had become overwhelming for everyone involved.

Upon arrival at Ingleside ALF Home, my friend was assigned a spacious room intended for two occupants. However, at that time there weren't enough residents to fill up all the rooms. Despite this, they made every effort to keep her engaged by organizing various activities tailored to their residents' interests. Although I didn't get heavily involved in these details since power of attorney eventually took over from me, I appreciated the facility's initiative in fostering social interaction among its residents.

Cleanliness was certainly not an issue at Ingleside ALF Home; we were impressed by how well-maintained the premises were. The staff members consistently demonstrated cheerfulness and pleasantness throughout our visits as they worked diligently to ensure my friend's comfort and well-being. Even when it came down to meals, they went out of their way to understand her dietary preferences, as she hailed from Liberia. The accommodating staff truly made an effort to make her feel at home.

In terms of pricing, Ingleside ALF Home appeared to be on par with other assisted living facilities. While I did not delve into the specifics, it seemed reasonable based on my knowledge of similar establishments. Overall, despite the challenges posed by my friend's demanding nature, I commend Ingleside for their efforts and dedication in trying to provide the best care possible. It is unfortunate that circumstances beyond their control led to a less than ideal experience during her stay.
