Review

During the search for an Assisted Living facility for our loved one, we had the opportunity to tour Belmare Senior Living, a relatively new establishment that opened less than a year ago. Our overall impression of the facility was mixed; while it undoubtedly boasted many attractive features, we also felt that it might be too large for our loved one's needs. The atmosphere, though undeniably luxurious, felt somewhat uncomfortable during our visit. It appeared that many residents may have chosen to stay in their rooms rather than actively engage in community activities, leading us to question the vibrancy of social interaction within the facility.

One aspect that stood out dramatically was the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of Belmare Senior Living. The facility is strikingly modern, with well-appointed common areas and beautiful decor complemented by bright hallways adorned with lovely artwork. With just 44 rooms available, it offers a cozy yet spacious environment. We were able to view one of the bedrooms, which was immaculate and featured a very nice bathroom—an indication of how well-maintained the individual living spaces are. However, it is worth noting that there isn't an outdoor park area or an inside courtyard for residents to enjoy nature and sunshine.

In addition to its physical attributes, Belmare Senior Living provides a wealth of amenities designed to enhance residents' quality of life. The facility includes a gym and several exercise rooms tailored for physical therapy—a crucial component for seniors wishing to maintain their health. Additionally, there’s a library offering peace and quiet for reading enthusiasts along with arts and crafts areas catering to those interested in creative projects. We were impressed by how beautifully decorated these spaces were, providing both function and warmth.

The dining menu at Belmare Senior Living appeared impressive as well; it showcased more options than any other assisted living facilities we visited during our search. During our walkthrough, we noticed what seemed like a bustling schedule filled with various activities aimed at engaging residents socially and mentally. From art classes to fitness sessions, there’s no shortage of opportunities for involvement among those who live there—a promising sign that they prioritize resident engagement.

Although we did appreciate many aspects of Belmare Senior Living—including its gorgeous ambiance—the truly deciding factors came down to location and accessibility for family visits. Situated conveniently close to my home made me feel secure about selecting this place for my dad's new residence. Having the ability to visit whenever I want without having to endure long drives significantly enhanced my comfort level regarding his transition into assisted living.

Lastly, I would be remiss not to mention Cynthia, the staff member who led our tour through Belmare Senior Living. Her warmth and friendliness immediately put us at ease as she enthusiastically explained every feature of the facility while addressing all our questions thoroughly. Her knowledge about both day-to-day operations and resident programming gave us confidence in this choice moving forward—particularly given her attention towards showcasing where meals are prepared in their kitchen; enticing aromas wafted through from food being cooked when we toured! Ultimately, driven by an appealing combination of factors—location proximity, an amiable staff team led by Cynthia, along with fabulous amenities—we are pleased that my dad will soon call Belmare Senior Living his home.
