The current manager and staff are horrible, the manager and staff smoke, and some of the residents smoke in front of the building. You get the smell of a dirty ashtray when you first walk in the doors. They keep the downstairs area clean, but when you go up to the second floor, you see filthy, stained worn out carpet. They also have a roach infestation which they are not doing a good job controlling. The place is old and the carpet on the second floor is disgusting. Sometimes this place looks like a homeless camp with shopping carts all over the complex. This place smells like a Vegas Casino! Most of the residents are lowlifes. The reason I chose another community was because they called me first with availability. I personally thought that the cost was a little high for me, for a place not having a regular sized sink and no oven.When looking for affordable senior living options, the choices were limited. However, one community that stood out was Briarwood Manor in Montclair, CA. Through a referral from A Place for Mom, they were able to secure a spot for their father. The price and value of Briarwood Manor played a significant role in their decision-making process. While the hallways and stairwells could use some updating, the studio apartment was perfect for their loved one.

It's worth noting that this community has had no cases of COVID-19, providing peace of mind to residents and their families.
