Home Helpers/Lompoc, a service that initially showed promise, has unfortunately experienced a decline in quality over time. The process of preparing for a Home Helper visit is time-consuming and can be disrupted when they fail to show up, which can be particularly challenging for households with ill individuals. This issue becomes even more disruptive when home health professionals have also been scheduled.

In one instance, I received notice just two hours before the scheduled visit that the Home Helper would not be coming. This last-minute cancellation greatly inconvenienced us. To add insult to injury, the following day I was informed that the Home Helper would arrive at least thirty minutes late. As it turned out, her tardiness was attributed to poor scheduling by Home Helpers/Lompoc, as they did not allow her enough time to travel between clients' homes in different locations.

It is disheartening that Home Helpers places the burden of overbooking on its clients. It is their responsibility to appropriately schedule and manage their employees' appointments. Yet, it seems as though they do not prioritize this important aspect of their operations. Clients should not have to suffer missed appointments followed by tardiness due to poor management on the part of Home Helpers.

This lack of professionalism raises concerns about client privacy and respect. Unfortunately, these aspects appear to be neglected by Home Helpers/Lompoc. With their actions demonstrating a disregard for punctuality and schedules, it becomes difficult to trust them with sensitive information or expect them to uphold standards of professionalism when interacting with clients.

When hiring a service like Home Helpers/Lompoc, punctuality should be a given; unfortunately, this does not seem to be the case.
