The administrator at Marlandwood West is highly regarded and appreciated. The staff at Marlandwood are friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Their dedication and know-how personalize their contribution to the residents' daily needs and concerns. The care provided at Marlandwood was successful in facilitating the return of one resident back into the community. The security at Senior Care of Marlandwood East is very tight, ensuring the safety of residents.
The staff is lazy and only concerned about getting a paycheck. The place is old and the carpet needs replacing. This place needs a renovation but if you have respiratory needs it’s the only place in the area. Somehow they could never tell me what was going on w/ my relative. They fed her a high carb diet, w/out any other options. The facility smelled and the room was lacking linens and a pillow when we arrived. When it was time to leave, they were very obstructionist and held up her discharge to another facility for 2 days. They talk a good talk but are never available and never actually address any concerns. They escalate problems with folks who are not well. I don't believe the food is good at Marlandwood EastMarlandwood West, according to one review, is considered the best facility for those with respiratory needs in the area. However, another review paints a less favorable picture, describing it as a terrible place to live and criticizing the lazy staff and outdated facilities. The reviewer also expresses disappointment regarding the lack of transparency regarding their relative's health condition and dissatisfaction with the high-carb diet provided.
