The staff were great during that time. They treat residents like family here and look out for all of their needs. Everything has been wonderful; the center is caring and welcoming. The center has nice people, and Malinda is awesome. The facility embodies "family in deed."
They did NO physical therapy of any kind with her after swearing they would. Having her do a tiny bit of walking to the dining room is NOT physical therapy. They did nothing for her feet, ankles, and legs swelling. They knew it was probably antibiotic resistant but kept giving her antibiotics that were useless to fix it. They didn't bother to do anything for her after Medicaid approval two weeks before she left. She was not in great condition when she came home. They are nice, but basically useless for physical rehab unless they're receiving payment for physical therapy.Two different experiences with elder care facilities show a wide range of what can happen after a hospital stay and a rehab stint.
