The physical therapy at Gates Manor was great and helped my father-in-law walk again. The staff and administration at Gates Manor were friendly and accommodating. They took excellent care of my father-in-law, who was in tears when talking about leaving the place. The facility was clean and bright. It feels like there's no other place that would have taken care of my father-in-law better.
The staff, including the manager and owner, are inept and unprofessional. They are understaffed at Gates Manor. One nurse was sneezing all over a patient while changing her. A new night nurse gave the patient the wrong medication. Neglectful care at Gates Manor resulted in the patient being hospitalized with pneumonia. The manager became defensive and told a family member to take their loved one elsewhere. The owner, Gary, refused to hear complaints and hung up the phone.
