The staff is amazing. They have the most compassionate and caring staff. Their administrator, director of nursing, assistant director of nursing, MDS nurse, and activities director are incredible. They really care about people, and it shows. Adam's Street Place has improved so much. They provide a homelike environment with wonderful staff and residents. They have a wonderful therapy department that helps residents achieve their goals.
The building is deceiving. The administration is the problem. There is never a real break because there's always something to do. There is no care for the employees. There is inconsistency in disciplinary action. There is favoritism and audacity. There is direct disrespect in tone of voice. It is hard to keep good workers. Positions are replaceable, not the work ethic or the heart in the work. There were numerous complaints, not all listed. They did not turn the patient properly, failed to change him timely (12+ hours), and failed to provide adequate wound care. The air in the room did not work for four of five days and was miserable. Sheets were not put on the bed. The staff were not properly trained. The facility was short-staffed. The light was turned off and no one returned. There was no rehab in five days, which is why the patient left. They were not informed that the patient had COVID prior to acceptance.
