The activities director, Teresa, is wonderful, loving, and caring with the residents. The Allison Care Center is a very nice and clean nursing home with all the amenities one would want for their parents. They meet all the requirements for my father's care, and they have a good ratio of staff to patients. The new activities director specifically hired for the dementia unit is a plus. The administrator was upfront and honest about the limitations of care if aggressive issues are not contained. The care provided to the resident's father has been good overall. The resident appreciates the honesty they received from the administrator about their father's care plan. The resident wishes there were more aides at night to provide company to their father when he gets lonely.
Allison Care Center was the worst place. It was dirty and awful. They didn't dress my father properly. He kept leaving the facility, which I would label as dangerous. 50% of the staff didn't care. They kept forgetting about mechanically grinding his food, causing him to choke.
