The physical therapy group is outstanding, especially Abby and Ashley, who go above and beyond every day. Sylvia - the nurse - is described as a saint, very helpful and caring. Jessica Farmer was the sweetest and best occupational therapist. Carly Law went above and beyond to help the patient acclimate in the first days. The staff at NHC are the nicest people the reviewer has ever met. The facility was described as very clean with friendly staff during a Sunday visit.
There was no working ice machine and the RNs ignored requests for proper care. The facility was described as "sheer evil" and clearly not safe or trustworthy. There was no water available; staff had to fetch water from an ice chest or hallway and give him tap water. Even after five complaints, the patient's food trays were not restored and there was no food. A wound reinfected and a fractured hip went undetected, causing the patient to walk on it. The nurses were uncaring. The patient received only one shower in 20 days and often appeared unkept and not dressed. The patient was locked in her room and had to be begged to open the door for the nurses.
