Review

In January 2017, I had the opportunity to visit a facility that left a lasting impression on me. From the moment I set foot inside, I was greeted by friendly and approachable staff members. The Administrator/Owner of the facility was also very personable and made an effort to create a warm and welcoming environment.

One aspect of the facility that stood out to me was the level of care provided by the nursing staff. They were not only nice but also incredibly caring towards the residents. It was evident that they genuinely cared about their well-being and went above and beyond to ensure their comfort.

Another highlight of my experience at this facility was the food. The meals were made from scratch every day, resulting in fabulous dishes that surpassed my expectations. I couldn't have asked for better food or care during my time there.

On a separate occasion, my mother was brought to this same facility, and once again, we were met with exceptional service. The cleanliness of the facility was noticeable right away, creating a pleasant atmosphere. From receptionists to social workers, every member of staff displayed an unwavering dedication to providing compassionate care.

During my uncle's six-month stay at this facility, he received the utmost attention due to his late-stage cancer diagnosis that required constant medical supervision. The staff always showed great empathy towards him and ensured he felt cared for. Additionally, the organization within the facility was impressive - it didn't resemble a stereotypical nursing home but instead demonstrated efficiency and professionalism.

While there were some minor issues with communication due to language barriers among certain staff members who spoke poor English, they remained kind-hearted individuals who treated residents with respect. Despite any language difficulties, they organized numerous activities that delighted my grandmother tremendously - her favorite being playing rummy 500 with fellow patients in between meals at the dining room.

The cleanliness maintained within the facilities deserves special mention as it exceeded expectations typically associated with nursing homes. There was a constant effort to ensure a pleasant and inviting environment for the residents, with a noticeable absence of any unpleasant odors.

However, it is important to note that there were some areas that required improvement. The rooms were slightly outdated and on the smaller side, which may present challenges for individuals with specific needs. Additionally, one unfortunate aspect was the noticeable smell of marijuana emanating from certain staff members who, though kind-hearted, did not speak English fluently.

In conclusion, this facility showcased a great deal of care and compassion towards its residents. The friendly and approachable staff, coupled with excellent nursing care and exceptional food made from scratch daily, set this facility apart from others. Despite minor room size concerns and occasional communication difficulties due to language barriers among staff members, it remained an overall outstanding facility that provided top-notch care to those in need.
