Review

Aljoya Retirement Community has proven to be a wonderful and welcoming place for residents and their families. One reviewer shares how their mother, who suffers from dementia, found comfort and happiness in this community. The reviewer was initially concerned about their mother living alone but quickly realized that they couldn't provide the level of care and activities she needed. When they visited Aljoya, both the mother and the reviewer were immediately impressed by the elegant decor and friendly atmosphere.

The employees at Aljoya stood out as the most amazing group of people according to the reviewer. They always greeted residents by name, had a smile on their faces, and were eager to assist both residents and visiting family members. The Wellness center, led by Annie Atienza R.N., played a vital role in ensuring the well-being of residents. Not only did they monitor their medical needs but also took into account their psychological and emotional needs.

It's clear that the Almo family, who owns Aljoya, created this facility with utmost care and consideration. They left no detail overlooked - from hiring outstanding staff to providing fresh flowers on dining room tables to offering bowls of fresh fruit throughout the complex. The Almos have shown tremendous concern for every resident who walks through their doors, providing support not just during initial residency but also as residents face declining health.

Aljoya has become a positive and caring community for all who live there. It offers a warm environment surrounded by life, love, and exceptional nursing care. Residents are able to enjoy beautiful accommodations resembling a fancy hotel with wide corridors adorned with marble, artwork on walls, upscale dining rooms with white cloth napkins, large meeting rooms, a theater, an art room, a business office with computers, game rooms, and even a video golf room. Apartments feature full-size kitchens with appliances (unlike other places) although some units may have less desirable views.

The staff at Aljoya is highly accommodating and professional, taking care of any setup or moving problems with efficiency and patience. The safety features in place are excellent without being intrusive. In terms of economics, the unique financing options at Aljoya allow for significant cost savings compared to other retirement communities.

Overall, Aljoya has received high praise from residents and their families. Its contemporary design and friendly atmosphere make it a top choice for those seeking an urban/modern living experience. However, some individuals may feel out of place due to the high level of luxury. Nevertheless, Aljoya is definitely worth considering for anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and well-appointed retirement community.
