    Review

In-home care can be a tremendous help for individuals who need assistance with physical activities due to accidents or illnesses. When one user required such help after an accident, they turned to Right at Home NW Houston and were pleased with the professional and prompt introduction and evaluation that took place. The agency took the time to listen to their specific needs and customized the type of help and hours accordingly. The caregiver sent to their home was competent, punctual, easy to be around, and respectful. This positive experience prompted them to use Right at Home NW Houston again in the future.

Their second encounter with this agency occurred four years later when they needed extra care for another family member. Right at Home NW Houston not only provided excellent caregiving services but also assisted them in arranging hospice care when it became necessary. The caregivers were both detailed and punctual, ensuring that their loved ones received the support they needed. Additionally, the office staff provided valuable assistance and support to the entire family, making the process of being a family caregiver less overwhelming. Overall, this user was extremely satisfied with the service they received from Right at Home NW Houston.

However, not all experiences with this agency were positive. Another individual had a different encounter when seeking in-home care for their loved one with dementia. They initially started with one location but were transferred without any prior notice or communication. This lack of communication continued to be an issue throughout their experience with this agency. Furthermore, they felt that the employees were not well-trained in dealing with dementia patients as they frequently had to ask for guidance on what to do.

The first caregiver assigned to them came across as bossy and inexperienced, often needing assistance for various tasks. This lack of knowledge was coupled with unreliability since there were instances where nobody showed up for two days without any communication from the agency. Fortunately, they happened to visit their loved one on one of those days and noticed the absence of a caregiver. Dissatisfied with their experience, they eventually switched to a different agency.

In conclusion, while some individuals had positive experiences with Right at Home NW Houston, others faced challenges and ultimately decided to seek care elsewhere. The agency's strengths appear to lie in their professional and attentive initial evaluations, as well as the competency and respect shown by some of their caregivers. However, issues such as poor communication and inadequate training for dealing with specific conditions like dementia detracted from the overall satisfaction of certain users. It is important for potential clients to carefully consider these factors when choosing an in-home care provider.
