Review

A group of friends were deeply disappointed with their experience at a care facility where their close friend had moved after completing rehab. Right from the beginning, they noticed an unfriendly attitude from the owner. Despite being used to seeing their friend twice a day for years prior, the owner lied about visiting hours, claiming they were only from 1-4 pm. However, it was later discovered that state regulations allowed for an 8-hour visiting period. The owner would angrily shoo away visitors who arrived even a minute before 1 o'clock, and impatiently tapped her wrist when it was time to leave at 4 pm.

The owner's unwelcoming behavior extended beyond just strict visiting hours. She even yelled at one of the friends for parking her car in the wrong place and made her move it across the street. The atmosphere created by such treatment left their close friend constantly on edge, always on the verge of tears. Despite occasional assistance to walk down the hallway for basic needs like showering or using the bathroom, she spent most of her time confined to her room without any exercise or socialization.

Tragically, their friend's health deteriorated rapidly under these circumstances, and she eventually passed away due to pneumonia caused by lack of movement. Even during this critical time, when compassionate care should have been paramount, the owner maintained a cold shoulder towards her resident. Although she kept the room tidy and ensured basic hygiene and food needs were met, she never engaged in conversation or showed any warmth towards her.

Visiting once a week due to work commitments became an emotional ordeal for the friends as well. Each visit brought them face-to-face with their distressed friend near tears. To make matters worse, they soon realized that exorbitant charges were being levied by the owner. A staggering $3000 was charged solely for renting a room, while an additional $250 was added for each care need – including going to the bathroom or seeking help during the night.

More concerns arose when they noticed the owner's suspicious behavior, such as her dislike of visitors taking photos without permission. This, coupled with her disdain towards guests and their friend's perpetual teary state, raised red flags for the group. For them, it was an incredibly disappointing and distressing experience overall. They even spoke to others who had similar negative encounters with the care facility while their loved ones were staying there.

In conclusion, their narrative sheds light on a care facility run by an unwelcoming owner who disregarded state regulations and treated both residents and visitors poorly. Their close friend's health suffered due to neglect, which eventually led to her tragic demise. The exorbitant charges imposed for basic needs only deepened their discontentment. Overall, the experiences shared by multiple individuals revealed a highly unsatisfactory environment that they would never recommend entrusting anyone else's well-being to.
