Shauna's customer service and passion were outstanding. Shauna has a great heart. The staff did a very good job making their relative comfortable and showed kindness throughout. The remodel is looking great, and the atmosphere and the staff are highly regarded. The community felt like a home environment, with welcoming and responsive staff. The dining room staff were pleasant, professional, efficient, and accommodating. Lancaster Village takes good care of residents. The staff have been there for a long time, are excited to help out, and do a great job. The menu looked healthy with a good variety, and there are activities for residents. The front desk staff are quick and courteous to assist residents. The community is clean.
The administration turns a blind eye to staff refusing to wear masks during the state mandate. A med tech refused to give a dying patient medication until hospice sent an RN. Staff yelled at each other in the lobby while residents were watching a movie. A med tech was caught sleeping in the lobby while the mom needed meds and catheter care. The administration only says "I'm sorry" and tries to smooth things over. The staff RN commented on hairstyles in family pictures instead of showing compassion. A family member had to stay with the mother 24/7 to administer hospice meds. The facility is horribly and consistently understaffed, especially in assisted living. Caregivers are loud and disrespectful to families, residents and other staff, and they yell at the front desk. Med attendants do not follow MARs/TARs and argue with residents who can't walk. A med attendant refused to give a dying mother a prescribed PRN medication until hospice was notified. This med attendant refused to wear a mask when it was mandated statewide.
