Brookdale Murray is an awesome place. The staff members really care about the residents. The apartments are large and comfortable. The meals are delicious and the dining staff are attentive. There are many daily activities and frequent social events for residents. The facility is clean and well maintained. The executive director and leadership are caring and attentive. Residents are treated like family and welcomed warmly. Brookdale Murray is pet-friendly and hosts therapy dogs. The value for money is great.
It started well but has declined considerably. Activity Director does not provide varied and stimulating activities for 65 and younger who are cognitively intact; activities repetitive and low level. Administrative Director stays in office and is not responsive to change. Wellness Coordinator is a bully, protective of poorly trained and poorly paid RAs; inconsistent in enforcement of policies; weird policies re medication protocols. They would tell you one thing and do another. The food was terrible and their apartments were not cleaned like they needed to be. This place is a living nightmare and the people who run it are soulless. Brookdale - really needs an overhaul in the building.
