Cons

    Review

For almost two years now, our family has had the privilege of having our grandfather living at Gem Oaks, and we cannot overstate how strongly we recommend this home to anyone searching for an assisted living option. From the moment you walk in, the environment feels calm and spotless, a testament to the care and pride the team takes in maintaining a clean, welcoming space. The staff are consistently attentive, and the leadership shown by Emma - along with Ernis - shine through in every interaction. Emma, in particular, has a gift for ensuring residents receive the best possible care and navigate the often complicated medical systems that accompany aging care.

Our gratitude for Gem Oaks extends deeply to the care given to my mother-in-law. The love and devotion this home shows to each resident is genuinely like family. Emma and Ernis take immense pride in making sure everyone is comfortable, and their compassion and professionalism feel almost boundless. Their kindness extends far beyond the call of duty, and we always felt that my mother-in-law was truly cared for. Thank you, Gem Oaks, for being there when we needed you most and for treating her with such warmth and dignity.

The experience at Gem Oaks has been nothing short of amazing. When my husband suffered a massive heart attack and was left completely incapacitated, the team cared for him with the same tenderness and concern as they would a family member. They treated him like he was their own brother, and I cannot say enough good things about how they supported him through such a difficult time. I would wholeheartedly and without hesitation highly recommend them to others facing similar circumstances.

Gem Oaks has truly been a blessing for our family. They take such good care of my Grandpa and all of their residents, and our family is incredibly grateful for the level of love and attention given to every person. Of all the facilities we visited, this one stood out as the absolute best, and we feel fortunate to have found a place where our loved one could receive such thoughtful, personalized care.

Two particular staff members stood out for their gentle, kind, and individualized attention to my Dad. They understood that one size does not fit all in eldercare and were willing to ask hard questions about CARE, because, at the end of the day, the only thing that truly matters is the care and the dignity shown to the person. These two lovely staffers embodied that standard, and the owner, Emma, remains intimately involved in all decisions, keeping families well informed. She truly is a gem, and I'm happy to talk to any family considering care for a loved one.

The people who own and run Gem Oaks - Emma and Ernis - did a wonderful job taking care of our mom. It's a family-run home, and they made my mom feel like part of the family as well. Over the year that mom lived with them, we got to know the Sabyrovs, their children, and the dedicated staff well. We feel so lucky to have found Gem Oaks and are grateful that my mom could finish her final life chapter in such a warm and loving place. I would strongly encourage any family looking for elder care to choose Gem Oaks.

In sum, the overall impression we carry is of a place that prioritizes cleanliness, attentive and compassionate care, and genuine family-like warmth. Emma and Ernis lead a compassionate team that treats residents with dignity, communicates openly with families, and remains deeply involved in daily decisions. Gem Oaks isn't just a facility; it's a community where residents are cherished, where staff go the extra mile, and where families feel confident that their loved ones are truly cared for. For those seeking a caring, reputable, and truly personal approach to elder care, Gem Oaks stands out as a remarkable choice.
