Review

Hanna House is a small group home that offers a comfortable and intimate environment for its residents. With only five patients, it provides personalized care and attention to each individual. One of the main reasons why I chose this facility for my father is its close proximity to our home. This allows me to easily visit him regularly and ensure his well-being.

The positive reviews I had heard about Hanna House further reinforced my decision. Knowing that other families had good experiences gave me confidence in the quality of care provided at this facility. Since most of the residents have Parkinson's disease, it was important for me to find a place that specialized in catering to their specific needs.

As my father doesn't engage in many activities due to his condition, the fact that most residents are bedridden or use wheelchairs didn't concern me. Instead, it gave him a sense of camaraderie with others facing similar challenges. They spend their days together watching TV and enjoying each other's company.

A key aspect of any senior living facility is the food provided, and in this regard, Hanna House exceeds expectations. Given that all the residents have Parkinson's disease, their meals consist of soft foods like casseroles with tender meat. The staff ensures that everything served is fresh and nutritious, taking into consideration their specific dietary requirements.

In terms of accommodations, my father's room at Hanna House is satisfactory in size and comfort. It provides him with a private space where he can retreat when needed but still feel connected to the community within the group home setting. The presence of an intercom system allows the staff to keep track of any developments or emergencies within his room.

Perhaps one of the most commendable aspects of Hanna House is its dedicated staff members who go above and beyond in caring for the residents. They assist my father with daily tasks such as showering and using the bathroom, ensuring his safety and maintaining his dignity throughout these personal moments. Additionally, the staff utilizes video surveillance at night to monitor any nighttime activities, ensuring that all residents are safe and accounted for.

Overall, Hanna House has proven to be an excellent choice for my father's care. The small size of the group home creates a close-knit community where he feels comfortable and cared for. The positive reviews I received were indeed accurate, as the facility offers good nutrition, personalized attention, and a supportive environment. I can rest assured knowing that my father is in capable hands at Hanna House.
