When visiting the home, I discovered that the owner was a very pleasant individual. The atmosphere of the home was quite welcoming, and it boasted a nice fenced and locked pool. What impressed me most was the cleanliness of the place; there were no odors to be found. However, I did notice that there was some clutter around, though it wasn't overwhelming.

I learned that this facility caters to a maximum of three residents at a time. One of these residents happened to be very ill and required constant care, while another resident couldn't do much on their own. Due to these circumstances, there weren't many activities available other than watching TV. Nevertheless, the owner assured me that they would be more than willing to provide transportation for volunteer activities at the library or school if desired.

Food served at this facility is all home-cooked, which is always a plus in my opinion. The schedule for meals seemed flexible, accommodating different preferences and dietary needs. Additionally, laundry services are also included in the price of residency, as well as transportation for necessary errands such as grocery shopping.

The rooms themselves were private with their own attached baths/showers. The owner even mentioned that if desired, residents could bring along their own furnishings to make them feel more at home. It's worth noting that this facility specializes in caring for individuals with dementia. As such, all medications and potentially dangerous objects like knives are securely locked away. In fact, knobs on stovetop burners are removed when not in use as an added precautionary measure.

As I learned during my visit, this is a family-run facility with three dedicated caregivers providing round-the-clock assistance to residents. While it may be an ideal place for those needing specialized dementia care and personalized attention due to its small resident capacity, I couldn't help but feel concerned about potential boredom given the limited activities available on-site.

However, taking into consideration the owner's promise to take residents to their volunteer activities, as well as potential activities organized by the local senior center, it's possible that this issue could be addressed. Overall, with its pleasant owner, clean environment, and focus on dementia care, this facility seems like a viable option for those in need of a smaller and more intimate living arrangement.
