    Review

From the moment my uncle joined Golden Home in April 2021, the experience has consistently felt welcoming and secure. The owners, Dennis and Lhea, stand out for how wonderful they are to work with. Their approach is not only responsive but genuinely attentive, making it easy for family members to know help is readily available when needed.

What truly sets Golden Home apart is the stability and consistency of the staff. There are longtime, dependable team members who build trust with my uncle through their steady presence and steady support. This consistency helps my uncle feel safe and comfortable day after day, which is invaluable given his needs and personality.

The environment itself is carefully tuned to foster a sense of celebration and warmth. Birthdays and holiday occasions are frequent, creating a lively and inclusive atmosphere where my uncle can enjoy special moments and feel remembered. It's clear that the staff, guided by the ownership team, place a strong emphasis on making residents feel valued and cherished during meaningful times.

A particularly important aspect for us is how Lhea helps my uncle stay connected with his medical care. She provides excellent support for arranging and facilitating virtual medical appointments as needed, ensuring his health needs are managed without added stress. This level of coordination adds a layer of reassurance for the family and underscores how dedicated the team is to his well-being.

My uncle is 79 and fully ambulatory, but he does require frequent reassurances that he is safe, a reality tied to his dementia. The all-male environment of Golden Home has been a positive fit for him, and the staff respond to his need for reassurance with patience and consistent care. The sense of safety and familiarity is palpable, and it helps him stay calm and engaged.

Weekly, my uncle and another resident go for walks with a staff member along the walking path and park next door. This regular activity not only provides fresh air and gentle exercise but also reinforces the feeling of community and included routine. It's clear that these moments are meaningful for him and for the overall mood of the home.

Overall, Golden Home stands out as a place where care, community, and consideration come together in a very practical and heartful way. The combination of responsive ownership, dependable staff, celebratory atmosphere, medical coordination, and a thoughtful routine makes it an environment I can confidently recommend. In short, Golden Home has been a wonderful fit, and I can't recommend it highly enough.
