The community is described as a very nice private community. Neighbors are described as good. The property is kept up really nicely. The landscaping is beautiful. It is a great place to live. They love it. People have relatives here.
The roads in that subdivision are very narrow. The HOA requires parking on the wrong side of the road, which seems counterproductive. The promised fence replacement has not been completed, leaving yards unfenced and forcing dogs to stay indoors, which is unacceptable.The subdivision sits on very narrow roads that can feel even tighter in everyday traffic, and the homeowners association imposes a rule that you must park on the "wrong" side of the street while you're inside the neighborhood. That requirement strikes some as counterproductive, especially when space is limited and visibility around tight bends is important. It's a detail that can complicate what would otherwise be straightforward daily life, and it colors the sense of ease residents expect in a quieter, community-focused area.
For the most part, this has been a very nice place - until recently. On Labor Day, my fence was removed, and I was told it would be put back up by Wednesday. That promise came with the expectation that the yard would soon be secure again and usable for what drew many of us to the neighborhood in the first place. Since then, as the days have passed, there has been little movement on the repairs, and the timeline has stretched into weeks rather than days.
As of the 19th, only a single person has shown up to inquire about the fence and gate, leaving many of us feeling beaten down by the slow pace of repair and the lack of clear communication. The fence was a key feature for several residents, because it defined a safe, contained space for pets and children. The larger impact is felt by dog owners in particular: without a proper fence, several neighbors - and I myself - have been forced to keep our dogs indoors. It's not just inconvenient; it's a significant shift in how we use our yards and enjoy our homes. This ongoing situation feels unacceptable to those who rely on that fencing for safety and peace of mind.
I live here. I love it. The sentiment is simple but powerful: the place feels like home, and the experience of living here matters to me. When the day-to-day is smooth and the community functions as it should, that sense of belonging is strong. The current challenges, while frustrating, don't erase the core appeal of the neighborhood - the privacy, the quiet and the overall atmosphere that makes it feel like a retreat from the broader world.
