    During my short time there, I found real satisfaction in caring for the patients and doing what I could to help them. The work itself was meaningful, and I valued the opportunity to provide care directly to those in need. But I also felt a deep sadness for the people who had to live in an environment where pests were a constant problem. Mice and roaches weren't just inconveniences; they added stress and discomfort to an already difficult situation, making what should have been healing moments feel undermined.

Like any job, it can boil down to a delicate balance between individual voices and a unified approach to patient care, but here it often seemed pushed toward extremes, turning a cooperative environment into a more crowded, opinion-heavy space.

    Operationally, the staff, supplies, and routines sometimes strained under several pressures. Shortages of essential items - staffing, linens, and general supplies - made even routine tasks tougher and could impact the patient experience. When resources are tight, it isn't just about efficiency; it affects morale and the quality of care that can be provided in any given shift.

    Yet the building itself remains a potent symbol of what could be. It's a beautiful structure with substantial potential, and with renovations and thoughtful planning, it could better support both the people who work there and the residents they serve.
