In July 2013, after suffering a cerebrovascular accident (CVA), the author was transferred from Lutheran Hospital to Englewood Health and Rehab Center for further care. However, their stay at the center was marred by a series of concerning incidents that compelled them to voice their dissatisfaction publicly.
