The facility is very good and well-maintained. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. The rooms are very nice. There are a lot of engaging activities and opportunities for residents to participate. The staff genuinely cares about residents and their families, going above and beyond. Sundance is an amazing community for dementia and Alzheimer's patients with an unsurpassed level of care. Sundance cares about the community and has meaningful partnerships with local schools.
It has a lot of turnovers and the food isn't very good. The activities director is being pulled in too many different places to do activities. The staff members are not very friendly. They are so short staffed, they have no housekeepers, no COO, and barely any caregivers, and there is no around-the-clock RN. A patient fell and busted his head open due to only having two people on staff at night. When one of the employees addressed this to the manager, she stated that a RN is not needed around the clock. The rocks and bucket or whatever quick "fix" is unacceptable.
